Our facilities are hosted in two physically separate locations. The actual server rooms are physically separated from everyone but a few technicians with electronic pass-key entry systems. |

Connectivity GHI utilizes connections to multiple backbones to ensure that data reaches the end-user in the fastest, most efficient manner possible, using BGP4 routing and our Cisco network. We have relationships with multiple Tier 1 providers like AT&T, Qwest, Sprint, as well as local second-tier providers. |

Power Our facilities have backup battery power that immediately engages should a power surge, brownout or blackout occur. Precisely 8 seconds later, our exterior natural gas-powered generator kicks on and begins to recharge the battery backup. Even during the infamous August 2003 blackout, GHI was up and running, lights on! |

Redundancy We have attempted to eliminate as many single points of failure as possible with our colocated server hosting and network architecture. All servers have a raid-5 array of hard disks to eliminate any downtime with a single hard drive failure. We use dual power supplies when possible and the servers are outfitted with a minimum of two network interfaces to avoid problems. When possible we have clustered our servers together or placed them in a Citrix server farm to provide additional redundancy. We recommend to our customers that are hosting mission critical applications that they host a minimum of two servers with us to offer cluster/failover capabilities. |

Monitoring All servers are monitored 24 hours a day and we are paged if any problems occur. Additionally, we can provide our customers with SNMP alert services so they can be notified and take any appropriate action. |

Backup Capabilities GHI performs daily backups of system files for all servers. At pre-determined intervals, and within regular production schedules, GHI performs additional tape backup of files and keeps these tapes in off-site data storage facilities. We provide each user with a "remote disk drive" so files can be stored on our servers which are backed up every day. Users do have the choice to save files on our servers in their "remote disk drive" or on their own computers. |
